This table possesses a seemingly effortless elegance and appeal with its movement, form, and proportion. The apron's simple relief carving suggests scrolling grass. The ancient Chinese symbol for "water” cascades down the side panel. The walnut wood's warm patina quietly pleases.  

These tables were a surface for treasures and offerings to the gods.
